High Ground Defense conducts its business in full compliance with the export control laws and regulations of the United States. Export compliance is a core element of how HGD engages with every customer, partner, and inquiry, domestic and international.
Regulatory Framework
HGD products are defense articles enumerated on the United States Munitions List and are controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 C.F.R. Parts 120-130), administered by the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). Certain items, software, or technology may instead be subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 C.F.R. Parts 730-774), administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), under the Export Control Reform Act of 2018 (50 U.S.C. 4801-4852).
HGD is registered with DDTC and maintains an internal export compliance program covering classification, licensing, screening, and recordkeeping.
Sales, Exports, and Transfers
HGD products are sold only to authorized government, military, and qualified professional customers. International sales are conducted through Direct Commercial Sales subject to U.S. Department of State export licensing, and products may also be acquired through government-managed procurement programs where authorized.
No HGD product, component, or controlled technical data may be exported, re-exported, retransferred, or disclosed to a foreign person, in the United States or abroad, without required U.S. Government authorization. Diversion contrary to U.S. law is prohibited.
Screening
HGD screens inquiries, customers, and transaction parties against applicable U.S. Government restricted and denied party lists and conducts end-use and end-user review as part of every international engagement. Information submitted with inquiries may be used and retained for these purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Technical information beyond the public content of this site is released only after export review and through controlled channels, and where required, under U.S. Government authorization.
Inquirer Responsibilities
Parties contacting HGD are responsible for accurately identifying themselves, their organization, their country, and the intended end use and end user of any product of interest. Providing false or misleading information in connection with an export-controlled inquiry may violate U.S. law.
Penalties
Violations of U.S. export control laws carry serious civil and criminal penalties for both organizations and individuals. HGD reports suspected violations as required by law.
